First Jefferson 202 — Doing Theology, Sharing Meaning
We “do” theology by sharing our faith journeys and responses to life’s questions. We explore worship as opportunity to celebrate our highest values and align our lives with our aspirations, and examine our theological “house.”
First Jefferson 203 — Of Heretics and Promises
We learn of courageous people and revolutionary ideas that created a religion based on human goodness. We learn how our community of people with diverse religious beliefs can nurture one another by making and keeping promises to each other, and seeking and giving forgiveness for broken promises.
First Jefferson 204 — Building on Faith, Making a Difference + Membership, Privileges and Expectations
The search for truth and meaning goes on throughout our lives, equipping us to respond to all life presents. We learn how our lifespan religious education employs a relational, developmental approach. Because we focus on this life, and embrace justice and compassion, we feel compelled to live out our values by working for social justice to make a positive difference in this world.
